Housesitter

Jim turned to leave - but Mr. Stover beckoned him. The biker turned toward the garage and walked away, and even though he sensed trouble Jim knew better than to blow him off...
After Mr. Stover's head went down, lighting a cigarette, he held the pack out and looked at Jim lazily.
He'd never done anything like that before.
"No thanks," Jim said automatically. He was probably busted, but playing dumb seemed to be the way to go. The Stovers had been in Florida, on another bike run, and Jim watched the house and their dogs. This time he'd found a few things to help himself to, other than the contents of the refrigerator, and he convinced himself that it wasn't an oversight.

Inside the refrigerator he found a case of Jack Daniels, a stack of Hot Pockets and more Red Bull energy drinks than he could count. The case of Jack had a note on it saying, "Touch." As he closed the refrigerator door, something over the fireplace caught his eye. Directly over the mantle was a pump-action Winchester shotgun, also with a note taped to it saying, "Don't Touch." Jim walked over to the fireplace and confirmed his suspicion. His father had the exact same model that they used on various skeet shooting trips. As Jim reached out towards the gun, a huge crash came from the window, causing him to recoil and take a few steps back. He looked over to see two large rottweilers slobbing up the window, which was surprisingly still intact.
