There once was an orange, who lived on a tree in Montana and a young swordsman who was hungry. "Ohhhhhhhhh an orange!" said the swordsman. "Wait," said the orange. "If ya don't eat me, i'll grant you everything you've ever wanted!" "How do I know that?" said the swordsman. " Cuz I-----" "Wait a minute! I'm wastin my time talkin to an orange! As the swordsman walked away, he wiped the sweat from his brow with his sleeve. He thought to himself, "Jeepers its hot!" He paused for a moment to scan his surroundings for shade. "Ah!" A sense of relief spilled over him as his spied a beautiful oak tree about 50 yards away. He briskly walked over to the oak tree and plopped down, leaning against the trunk. The anticipation of eating his orange was consuming his thoughts, so he pulled it out of his pocket. Just then a voice spoke in a slow and deep manner, "Izuko, don't eat that orange!" Startled, the swordsman jumped to his feet, "Who said that?! And how do you know my name?!" "Silly fool! I am the All-Knowing Oak Tree and I'm warning you not to eat that orange!" |

"Why?" Izuko searched the tree, but couldn't find anything resembling a face. "For each bite you take from that orange, you will suffer an event of misfortune!" Izuko paused for a moment and said, "Now I'm wasting my time talkin' to a tree!" He plopped back down and started to peel the orange. He took one of the wedges, put it up to his lips and took a small bite. The intense flavor caused Izuko to stand up! He sat back down and finished the entire orange in 10 small bites. Just as he leaned back against the oak, the oak tree yelled out in a thunderous voice that shook the ground, "SILLY FOOL!" The frightened Izuko floundered to get to his feet. Eventually, he ran off into the nearby woods while leaving his sword against the oak tree. |

- Number of Segments
The number of segments for a story is the number of user contributions to the story before it's finished.
For example:
A story with 10 segments will have 10 winnning, user contributions before the story will end. -
Velocity
Stories will advance depending on a combination of the number of votes, views and time. A story with fast velocity will require the least amount of votes, views and time to advance. -
Squirt Length
The maximum number of characters for each user's contribution.
